Yara RamosESOL Specialist/ELL Coach

My name is Yara Y. Ramos Ramos Rodriguez. I have a BA in education with a major in  information technology, ESOL certification, Bilingual certification and a MA in curriculum, instruction and technology.  I have been in education for over 18 years. I began my career in Puerto Rico as an ESOL teacher, 2 years into teaching I became a computer resource teacher at a bilingual public school in Camuy, Puerto Rico. During my 10 years, I also served as the ESOL and testing coordinator.  I moved to Florida 5 years ago, making Clermont my new home. I worked in Higher education for  2 years as a faculty development coordinator and then as a media specialist and testing coordinator in the Lake County School District for the past 3 years.  Today I am excited to be part of the LPA family as your ESOL specialist/coach.

  Fun facts: I was born in Puerto Rico, and raised in Brooklyn, New York.   I am a mother of 4 wonderful children Yariela 19, Yandel 15, Daniel 9 and Valeria 6 and on the weekends I work at Disney Animal Kingdom.
