a Bachelor Degree in Psychology.  I’m from Puerto Rico. I’m married for 17 years.  I have a daughter and a son. We love to go to the Disney Parks.

Yanidia Nacianceno

My name is Nidia Nacianceno and this is my 2nd year at Lake Pointe Academy. I am Mexican-American as I was born in Orlando, FL and raised by parents that are from Mexico. I am married and have two teenage boys, 14 and 16 years old. My oldest son has autism, and he is my reason I currently teach students with various exceptionalities.  

I have 11 years of classroom experience ranging from Pre-K all through middle and high school grades for students of various exceptionalities. I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and master’s degree in special education, both from the University of Florida- Go Gators!  

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my boys, visiting Disney parks, cooking, baking and reading. I love to run and have run 13 half marathons in Disney and around the central Florida/ Tampa area.

Yolanda Cortes-Brady

I was born and raised in the Bronx, New York to Puerto Rican parents;  at an early age was taught to embrace my Latino culture and faith.  important  I am a mother of two wonderful sons Brandon, 26 yrs old and Cristian, 25 yrs old.  I am married to an amazing husband Craig A. Brady.

I am dedicated and passionate to help others — especially neurodiverse individuals.  In my professional life, I wear many hats as I am a dedicated Teacher, Behavior Analyst, a Life Coach and a Professional Leadership Trainer with a compassionate approach for those struggling with life’s basic activities.

I have twenty years of experience working with corporations, schools and health care facilities developing solutions that create opportunities and character development.  I am proud of being the Co- Founder and Leadership Development Trainer for HOPE Family Coaching, Co-Owner of In Town Care Telemedicine, LLC,  and on the executive board of Eightwaves organization.

Denisse Castillo

My name is Denisse Castillo, born and raised in Puerto Rico. Yes, I love the beach!  I am a mother of 4 and a teacher! J I am married to an awesome husband; we have two boys and two girls; 20 y/o, 16 y/o, 10 y/o, and 4 y/o. Very busy but rewarding as well! I love being home with them, cook, and eat. We also enjoy going out to fun adventures, and create memories along the way.

 I have a bachelor’s degree in education (Arts of behavior) from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico.  This is my second year here at Lake Pointe Academy. I have been teaching children with different exceptionalities for 8 + years now. Students from Pre-K to all the way up to transition students.  It is my passion to help them grow and achieve their goals academically and in life.
