Today's Choice for Tomorrow's Future

Assistant Principals

Mr. Daniel Torres

It is with great enthusiasm that I write this letter of introduction as the new Assistant Principal of our beautiful new Lake County campus, Lake Pointe Academy.  I am truly honored to accept this new role and look forward to continuing to work with our stakeholders, in an effort to advance the achievement of all our students on campus. Working together, I am confident that we will continue to provide our students with a truly enriching school experience.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2008 from Florida International University, and furthered my education in 2015 when I received my Masters in Educational Administration. During my thirteen years in education, I served in various roles, such as elementary and middle school teacher, resource instructor, and most recently, as the instructional dean and ELL coordinator at Sawgrass Bay Elementary.

My goal as Assistant Principal is to provide the leadership that will facilitate a school environment committed to the safety and success of ALL students. I am confident that Lake Pointe Academy will be a place where students learn and grow, both academically and socially.

Mrs. Natashia Weiss

Mrs. Weiss came to education in a roundabout way. She originally attended college as a political science major but did not feel that was the right fit. Having been a peer tutor throughout grade school, it was suggested that teaching might be where her heart belonged. She graduated with her Bachelor's in Elementary Education in 2012 and her Master's in 2019.

She has worked the last 3 years at LPA as the Potential Specialist and Testing Coordinator. Prior to that, she was a classroom teacher for 9 years in Groveland.

Mrs. Weiss grew up in Tampa and moved to central Florida for college. She met her husband and together they have two children, Rose and Spencer. She enjoys reading, movie nights, and hitting the theme parks with family and friends. She looks forward to her new role as Assistant Principal at Lake Pointe Academy
